If any of you are like me, you rely on Amazon reviews to point you in the right direction when it comes to making purchases. That means fake Amazon reviews can cause a huge problem for all of us! While Amazon is doing everything they can to block fake Amazon reviews, it still happens on Amazon and many other websites.
A huge trend are individuals like the one in the this BuzzFeed article who really do buy products on Amazon, but they are reimbursed by the company after leaving a positive, fake Amazon review for the product.
The good news is, there is a super easy way to test the authenticity of an Amazon review.
If you’re considering a purchase on Amazon with incredible reviews, head to fakespot.com to be sure. There, you can enter a URL and find out if the product has fake Amazon reviews. The site will give the listing a letter grade based on the authenticity of the Amazon reviews.
It’s important to remember that more reviews doesn’t always mean authentic reviews. Fake Amazon reviews are a popular trend and you should always do a double check when something seems too good to be true.
For instance, one of my favorite brands has a listing for a neck pillow with only 17 reviews, seems kinda weird. However, when you enter the listing into fakespot.com, you’ll notice it has an A grade and the reviews are authentic! I’d rather a few real reviews than a bunch of fake Amazon reviews any day.
